Summary of the year 2015

As the year draws to an end, it is always nice to remember what has happenes during the year. Puppies from Friidu and Alfa have received 18 cacs, 1j-cac, 2 cacibs, EuJW title, EE JW15 and EEW15 titles, BISS5 placement in EUW-specialty, 12 times BOB and 2 times BOS. Both BOB and BOS were from our litter in this years Finnish specialty! Two of the pups were tested healthy from eyes and knees, and all have started coursing training succesfully for next season.

Falcon got one BOB and CAC, was tested healthy for eyes and survived a snake bite. He has also succesfully trained for next season in coursing.

Friidu became LT CH, was 2× BOB and 1× BOS. She also got 2nd place in coursing dog of the year competition for the second time (1st in 2013, 2nd in 2014).

Our Italian import became LT JCH, EE JCH, BALTJW15 amd was 3×BOS and got one Finnish CAC. He had amazing first competition in coursing and got coursing CACand also won coursing dog of the year competition.

HUGE THANK YOU for active and loving homes of our puppies, nothing would have happened if we didn't have you!

Ametyst at show

Ametyst was at show again; she got EXC1 and CAC under Polish judge Elzbieta Augustyniak. Congrats again Veronika! At the same time Ametyst finished her bonitation and can be used for breeding in the future.

Ametyst 1.11.2015 CACIB Prague – judge: Grunheid Jean-Louis, F description – correct type, very nice head, ears are a little smaller, good chest, could be more massive/robust, good tail and movement.

Our Slovakian girl Ametystsmokeladryade was at show again, and she got CAC , CACIB and BOB! Congrats Veronika and thank you again!

Ametyst 31.10.2015 CACIB Prague – judge: Beare Andrew (Ireland): "1,5 years old female, nice feminine, balanced head and expression, dark eyes, nice ceiling/overhead, scissors bite, excellent putting of the neck, nice putting of shoulders and deep chest, nice looking female, nice angulations, excellent muscled, balanced female, nice quality of hair/coat, nice energetic movement, long neck"

Moonstone at health checks

Pola was at health checks today, her eyes and knees were tested to be completely healthy! Great!

Ametyst's first show in Slovakia

Ametystsmokeladryade was in her first show in Slovakia. Judge was Andrzej Szutkiewicz from Poland. Ametyst was BB2, got CAC and res-CACIB. Yayy, I'm so happy! Thank you Veronika, and congratulations for Danuska's BOB, CAC and CACIB also!
Ametyst's evaluation: "Correct proportions, medium frame, leant upperline, proper angulations of legs, very good temperament, very nice movement."

Norwegian Winner 2015, Hamar 17th October 2015

Luna was attending, she got EXC2. She wasn't moving well in the ring. Thank you for showing her Ragnhild and Mona! Congrats for Helena and Ecesia for BOB and BIG win!

Hailuoto coursing 17th October 2015

Two cp were in the competition; Rokka and Friidu. This was the only competition in Finland this year, so this also makes the winner of this race coursing dog of the year 2015. :D

The first run went ok, Friidu has had better courses. Friidu got 205 points and Rokka did a super starting run for his coureer and got 230 points. Both got into finals.

In the finals Friidu had her own course, and Rokka did again a good run. Friidu got 161 points (366 all together) and Rokka got 235 points (465 points) and got his first CAC and of course won the race and the coursing dog of the year title. Yayy, a great start for our young boy! Thank you Zaida for keeping him in good shape and training him for the lure.

He was found to be completely healthy young boy.

Aatu's health checks

Aatu (Highintensity) was at eye, knee and heart checks today. Doctor found out that he is a healthy boy, in one eye he has one extra lash, and another 3 extra lashes (very mild distichiasis). Heart healthy (auscultation only), knees 0/0. Thank you Jere for taking him to health checks!

Terracotta was the only one attending. She got EXC1, but no CQ. Her qritique was very promising, and I think if they visit this judge (Teija Salmi-Aalto) again later, she will get also CQ!

When Falcon met a viper.... And results from Finnish Sighthound Associations Specialty

A week ago a viper bit Falcon in his neck. He got massive swelling, and was of course at the vet for IV for several hours. He seems to be doing fine now, swelling is down and he is back to his own goofy self. We still have to do blood tests when it is two weeks from the bite to see if the venom has damaged his kidneys or heart.

Falcon also turned one year yesterday, congrats to our baby boy!

Evaluation: "14 months in very huge size presented male but typical head and body lines. The line from the scull to the nose could be straighter, still developing more chest. Shows good muscles. Good angulated in front and rear. Little weak in front wrist. Shows nice and elegant moving, good power from the rear, has to develop more substance."

Helsinki INT 24th May

Hurjahurtazharacz (from Polskis Alfa Romeo × Fernmark Chart Asteroid) was at Helsinki Int show today. He got JUN-EXC1, CQ, CAC BOB and bob-jun. He was the only one attending. Judge was Säde Hohteri, Finland. Evaluation: "Excellent type. Good head. Beautiful expression. Excellenr ears. Good neck. A bit straight shouldersetting. Good hindquarters. For his age excellent brisket. Good upperline. Smooth movement from all directions. Good colour and coat." Congratulations to Zaida and Hara!

Hamina National dog show on 23rd May

Terracotta was the only cp entered. She got JUN EXC1, but no CQ this time. Judge was Harri Lehkonen, Finland. Evaluation: "On the smaller side, although for her age well developed young bitch. Good headshape. Fronchest needs to get stronger and brisket needs more depth. Would like a little more angulations in front and back. Good tail. Correct coat quality. A bit short step in back. Shows herself cheerily. Still needs more time to mature."

Rauma national 17.5 and Aatu moved to own home

A week ago Aatu (Highintensity) found his new home with Jere Pitkänen, they seem to already love each other and get along well! I'm happy that Aatu found just suitable home for him, with lots of love and even some show activities are coming too.

Pola "Moonstone" was at Rauma National dog show. She was the only cp entered. Pola got JUN EXC1 and jun-bob, but to CQ this time either. Judge was lovely Attila Czegledi.

Annual Finnish Chart Polski meeting 18.4.2015

We had a ChP meeting in Helsinki yesterday. We had with us Friidu, Aatu and Falcon. Others bred/owned by us were Miisu, Pola, Hara, Terra and Rokka. There were all together 16 ChP with their owners this year. Thank you all for the nice day!

Lappeenranta INT dogshow 6.4.2015

MOONSTONE "Pola" was the only cp entered. Judge was Irina Poletaeva from Finland. Pola got JUN EXC1 and BOB-JUN. No CQ this time and therefore no CAC.

Evaluation: "11 months very promising yet still very puppylike. Good head and bite. Good ears and excellent neck. Upperline could be better especially in movement. Good tail. Good brisket. Good angulations. Movement and showing could be better."

Turku International Dog Show

There were altogether 7 chart polski entered. Great! Judge was a very gentle man from Slovenia,Stefan Sinko. It is always a pleasure when judge handles dogs nicely.

Sad news from Poland

Malgorzata send me sad news about darling Laleczka, Silverspell. She had passed away because of sepsis after dog bite. I'm extremely sorry for your loss Goska and Iza! I know she meant everything to you. Sleep well little girl.

2 international shows in Kaunas, Lithuania

I had two dogs with me; Friidu and Rokka. On sunday Friidu was BOB, got CAC and CACIB and became LT CH! Rokka was BOB-jun, BOS and got jun-CAC. No success on the big ring.


On sunday both got same, and Rokka became LT JCH! In the groups Friidu was BOG5 (out of five... ;D). So very succesful weekend! Thank you Taru for company, it was a nice trip!

Helsinki puppy show 11.1.2015

We had 5 of our puppies entered:  Aatu (Highintensity), Hara (Hurjahurtazharacz), Miisu (Midnightstar), Pola (Moonstone) and Terra(cotta). We also had entered a breeder's class. No other cp entered than us. All pictures by Nina Turunen, thank you!
